Vaults & Enclosures

Vaults and enclosures can be used for cable access or equipment storage when easy access is needed for underground services offered over optical fiber or copper cables. Units are offered in a multitude of sizes and designed to meet or exceed various load ratings based on the application & placement of the vault. Product material composition also varies based on environment, placement and required load. The ANSI/SCTE 77 industry rating standards for concrete vaults stipulate load capacity. These specifications are designated as Tiers and each Tier specifies a vertical and lateral design and test load. Typical load ratings for vaults in underground broadband networks range from TIER 5, 8, 15, & TIER 22. HDPE molded plastic solutions are available for light duty use in non-vehicular traffic locations. Either product can be used for access to splice cases, for slack cable storage, meter box, or valve box.
